I can reproduce the problem, too. With -J segfault, without no segfault. My locales are set to LANG=de_DE.UTF8. I can also avoid the segfault setting LC_CTYPE to C or POSIX (ascii charset). Other supported charsets ([EMAIL PROTECTED]: ISO-8859-15 and de_DE: ISO-8859-1) also produce a segfault. So
