uploaded it to DELAYED/10. Please feel free to tell me if I should
delay it longer.

As also pointed out at 889110, I think that this is not a problem of
udev or bluez, but
a problem of kenrel.
If you delete or rename /lib/udev/rules.d/97-hid2hci.rules and restart
your sysrtem,
will this problem occur?

I see.
I will fix this by changing SystemdService to obex.service in
org.bluez.obex.service.

I confirmed this bug with stretch, but the same problem did not happen.

I also confirmed that this problem will occur.
I fixed this problem by adding dh_auto_install to
override_dh_auto_install-indep,
because the alsa data file is not installed under usr/share/alsa in the
previous process.

I attached a patch which reviced this problem.

 Argh, broken English...

bluez-obexd should not provides obexd-client, obexd-server as they
are NOT exporting the same dbus interfaces.

Oh, you are right!

 [...]

I'm not exactly sure for the Conflicts, the .service file are
providing the same dbus interface name so I guess the conflicts
 should stay (?).

From what I saw, if a service is already started, dbus will not try to
start an other one providing the same name (make sense), so IMHO the
 Conflitcs must stay.

I see.

OK, I will fix this. And GNOME and KDE already shift to bluez5. I will
request removing obexd

 Dear Nobuhiro,
 Thanks!

Using of the udev rule is reasonable as this activates any BT adapter
as soon as it is plugged in. Maintaining this via an init script works
fine in majority of cases but not in all. As the script runs once it
will not cover cases when the adapter is hot plugged later.

Reverting this back will solve the bug as will make the package working
 fine.

To improve the package by adding the udev rule you have to make the
hciconfig tool available from the rootfs.

You can see if you get a look at the other mail of this bug, I have
received other proposals from Michael.
It is a proposal to move to / bin the hciconfig. I think that trying
to adopt this proposal.
Because hciconifg depends only on libraries of / lib, it can be moved.
In addition, we can unify the initialization of hciX in systemd,
sysvinit and other init system can be controlled
by udev. Of course, this resolve problem of this BTS. This is
reasonable, I think.

Thank you again and best regards,

  Dear Maintainer,
The issue appeared after upgrade to version 5.21.
The udev rule 50-bluetooth-hci-auto-poweron.rules tries to
run /usr/bin/hciconfig tool. This rule is executed at early stage
of boot process (/etc/rcS.d/S02udev) when /usr is mounted later
(/etc/rcS.d/S09mountall.sh). In my understanding this tool must be
installed in /sbin directory as one needed at boot time.
Alternatively this must be managed somehow at later stage (e.g.
  'udevadm trigger --verbose --action=add --subsystem-match=bluetooth
  --sysname-match=hci*' command in /etc/init.d/bluetooth)

 I see.
I enabled the hciX in bluetooth.init in earlier versions.
I will revert this and remove 50-bluetooth-hci-auto-poweron.rules
 from bluez package

I tried the mentioned above udevadm command and it helped. See
modified file below. It also contains alterations to fix bug
  #754830.

Well, you could just move hcitool to /bin. It seems all it's library
 dependencies are already in /lib.

I see.

Are there any ressources hcitool needs from /usr?

No, there are any resources.

Fwiw, I don't think running udevadm trigger from the .service file (or
sysvinit init script) is such a great idea. Even if it is limited to the
 bluetooth subsystem.

OK, I will think about move hcitool to /bin.

Bug#754781: [Pkg-bluetooth-maintainers] Bug#754781: Incompatible with bluez 5.x

2014-07-15 Thread Nobuhiro Iwamatsu
Hi,

Thanks for your report.

 Package: bluez-tools
 Version: 0.1.38+git662e-3
 Severity: grave
 File: /usr/bin/bt-audio

 -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
 Hash: SHA256

 Hi!

Since bluez 5.x have landed in sid today, bluez-tools is not working
anymore (hence the severity). Unfortunately, upstream did not fix this
 issue yet:
  https://code.google.com/p/bluez-tools/issues/detail?id=13

Yes, I know about this.
In bluez5, I think bluetoothctl and test scripts are used instead of
bluez-tools.

Therefore, I will remove this package from Debian.

Best regards,
  Nobuhiro

Your package uses mozjs from xulrunner, but iceweasel no longer provides
it. You may want to switch to the independent src:mozjs24 instead. Note
that the xulrunner-dev package is gone, so please also fix that in
 libopenvrml-dev's dependencies.

This is the last blocker for the iceweasel transition. Could you please
 take a
 look at it?

I'd like to propose an upgrade of opencv.

opencv distributed in wheezy includes source code of non-free (#724920).
I want to solve this problem.
Source code of the target is the code for test. It does not affect the
 actual working.

I attached debdiff. Could you consider this change suitable for
 stable-proposed-updates?

(for the records, we usually prefer when bugs are fixed in testing /
unstable before considering updates in stable.) Anyway, if the files
indeed got relicensed under a suitable license, why should they get
removed from an earlier release? At best we could ship a package with
updated headers and licensing info to reflect the facts all those files
 are actually OK?

 Mraw,
 KiBi.

 Ping?

 Hi Nobuhiro,

I've prepared an upload based on the patch from [1] and uploaded an NMU
to DELAYED/3. The complete debdiff is attached.
Would be great if you can review the patch and integrate it in your next
 upload.
If you want me to cancel the non-maintainer upload and make the upload
 yourself, just let me know.

So I've gone ahead with removing lib32gmp. This means that #718108 can only
be fixed by building only for i386. As previously discussed (below), we can
rely on multiarch to install it for amd64.

This would render the smlsharp unbuildable on amd64. However, I've just
tested that I can install and run smlsharp:i386 on my amd64 machine, so
  maybe that's a fine alternative?

smlsharp does not correspond to 64 bits.
I think that your method is good.

That's wrong and broken. That's a bug in opencv, not in libav. Here is
 the uptream bug report: http://code.opencv.org/issues/1925.

Fixing opencv's pkg-config file makes libav build again.

Reassigning this bug to libopencv-dev, raising the severity and marking
 libav as affected.

 Hi,

since the gnome-phone-manager FTBFS blocks the libgnome-bluetooth
transition, I've prepared a patch and uploaded a fixed patch to
DELAYED/2. The full debdiff is attached.

Please let me know if you don't consider the patch appropriate and you
want me to cancel the NMU.
If you are fine with the NMU, you can also let me know. In this case I
would upload to DELAYED/0, ie. without delay.

 Cheers,
 Michael

Bug#701356: sdpa: ftbfs with GCC-4.8

2013-06-07 Thread Nobuhiro Iwamatsu
Hi,

I am a sponsor of this package.

The package fails to build in a test rebuild on at least amd64 with
gcc-4.8/g++-4.8, but succeeds to build with gcc-4.7/g++-4.7. The
severity of this report may be raised before the jessie release.

cstdlib:174:20: error: declaration of C function 'long long int
 std::abs(long long int)' conflicts with

The full build log can be found at:
 http://people.debian.org/~doko/logs-20130217/gcc48/sdpa_7.3.8+dfsg-1_unstable_gcc48.log
The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report.

To build with GCC 4.8, either set CC=gcc-4.8 CXX=g++-4.8 explicitly,
or install the gcc, g++, gfortran, ... packages from experimental.

   apt-get -t experimental install g++ g++-4.7 g++-4.8 libc6-dev

The test rebuild was done with eglibc-2.17 and GCC-4.8, so some issues
might be caused by the updated glibc.

I checked this package with gcc-4.8, but I coulld not reproduced.
The cause of this problem is in octave and I think that it solved in #705485.

  Nobuhiro
