The last time I ran streamtuner was about 2 weeks ago,
and it ran fine then. I did do a weekly upgrade in
the mean-time, though.

startx stopped working. The screen goes blank like normal,

It doesn't segfault when running via strace, so it seems to be an
uninitialized pointer.

At first, there were dpkg-shlibdeps: failure messages because it
couldn't find libQt3Support.so.4. Installing libqt4-qt3support solved
that problem.
Even then, there were a slew of warnings with

I edited /usr/bin/googleearth from:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/googleearth /usr/lib/googleearth/googleearth-bin $@
to:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/googleearth strace
/usr/lib/googleearth/googleearth-bin $@
Then when I run
(if this hasn't been done already) on the
9.0.48.0 package with the aim of working out if new features have been
added.
If not, then it may be possible that this really is a bugfix only
release, and IMO would be suitable for an update.
