I was a little too fast on the trigger this time. This problem is a
libasound2 bug, not amarok, and a libasound2 bugreport has already been

Ok, it seems that libmesh0.6.4 is incompatible with the current version of
libpetsc in debian, v3.1. After some time I managed to make a DEB file of
libmesh SVN. I haven't had the time to test it yet. So libmesh SVN might
be something for Debian Sid now,

I had a similar problem trying to compile numpy 1.6.1. It seems to build when
using gfortran-4.5 instead of gfortran-4.6. I had to edit debian/control by
changing the build-depends so that dpkg-buildpackage would allow this.
