I can't reproduce this with the 2.10.dfsg.1-1 version currently in
unstable. Torsten, could you please send your config file for which you
are seeing this problem?

reproduce the bug. It writes the file all right, but after that simply
hangs with strace only showing futex()es and stat()s of /etc/localtime.

who doesn't have to correct hardware anymore to debug it, I'm

In config:

This is with rawdog version 2.10.dfsg.1-1, currently in sid.
Which version so you have?

I haven't tried if fluidsynth works with the GUS-compatible samples from
the freepats package; if it does, it should probably depend on that
package, but if it does not, it should move to contrib.
