benefits, and I am ok with the minimal and localized risk that comes
with just relying on the much simpler Conflicts-based solution, and
will hence opt to use that instead.
Thanks again for the input and the discussion.

Severity: grave
Pacman currently fails to build on armel/armhf, probably as a fallout
from the time64 changes.
Given it seems extremely unlikely to be needed on those architectures,
given Archlinux doesn't even support them, I'd recommend to simpl
load.
I will NMU to DELAYED/5 next Monday unless you get to it first.
I would highly recommend to add a debian/salsa-ci.yml so that these
issues can be caught automatically and easily before uploading.
Thanks!

Hello Andreas and Helmut,
Is there anything left to do here after Andreas' NMU fixing
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1035820 last month,
or can we close this?

Which hardware is that? And what does 'EFI crash' mean exactly? What's
the output of 'SYSTEMD_LOG_LEVEL=debug bootctl update' ?

Let's avoid having release candidates reach testing, even after
autopkgtest is happy. Apparently setting the urgency in the changelog
entry does not work anymore...

Debian Community Team, Adam is once again sabotaging the CTTE's work
with hostile NMUs, could you please intervene? Thank you.

It seems to me a safe way to fix this and do the right thing is to swap
the #DEBHELPER# token and the manual dbus-uuidgen block in dbus-
daemon's postinst. Then on systemd systems the tmpfiles will win and on
other systems dbus-uuidgen will do its job.

Honestly, if I didn't need this for $work, I'd have filed an RM bug
long ago. But the upstream 'releases' are even worse and vendor
everything including the full python interpreter and openssl, without
any security maintenance guarantees, so I don't want to have to rely
on them.
