I can confirm this bug. However, for some reason, my AMD64 lenny upgraded
gnumeric just fine. My i386 laptop however is showing the same transcript as
Brent.

This is probably a problem with fglrx drivers. Torcs works just fine with the
free Intel drivers. I don't think Torcs is to blame here. Plus, torcs is a
game. Calling the bug a release critical one may not be appropriate. Just my
0.02$.
