With samba 2:4.4.6+dfsg-2 and libtevent0 0.9.31-1, the problem does not 
occur anymore.

Confirmed fixed as of 2:4.4.6+dfsg-2. If there is any release after 
which, I have not teted.

I certainly agree with the restart issue (over a 1000 emails about the crash 
event).
I did the upgrade with apt update; apt upgrade and, yes, nmbd also crashes (see 
below).

yes systemd is restarting the service. Too fast IMO.

This is strange, I'm not able to reproduce it anymore (since
4.4.6+dbsg-2). Are you sure that you upgraded all the samba packages?

Does nmbd crash too?
