Bug#532065: java-gcj-compat-dev failure to install
In 200906081535.31671.dschep...@gmail.com, Daniel Schepler wrote: The problem is that neither gcj, gcj-jdk, nor java-gcj-compat-dev depends on gcj-4.3 anymore. An apt-get install default-jdk-builddep gcj-4.3 works fine in a chroot. So it should be enough just to add gcj-4.3 as a dependency of one of those packages. Stable gcj: Version: 4:4.3.2-2 Depends: cpp (= 4:4.3.2-2), gij (= 4:4.3.2-2), gcj-4.3 (= 4.3.2-1) Testing gcj: Version: 4:4.3.3-5 Depends: cpp (= 4:4.3.3-5), gij (= 4:4.3.3-5), gcj-4.3 (= 4.3.3-2) Unstable gcj-jdk: Version: 4:4.3.3-9 Depends: libgcj-common (= 1:4.4.0-7), gcj-jre (= 4:4.3.3-9), java-gcj-compat-dev (= 1.0.80), gcj-4.3 (= 4.3.3-2) No matter what flavor you are pulling from gcj+gcj-jdk should Depend on gcj-4.3. So, the quoted diagnosis is surely wrong. I think instead that default-jdk is missing a Depend on gcj-jdk OR java-gcj-compat-dev is missing a Depend on gcj-jdk. -- Boyd Stephen Smith Jr. ,= ,-_-. =. b...@iguanasuicide.net ((_/)o o(\_)) ICQ: 514984 YM/AIM: DaTwinkDaddy `-'(. .)`-' http://iguanasuicide.net/\_/ signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Matthias, can you please do it quickly? There's loads of packages FTBFSing because of this bug right now, and it'll even get worse when they need bin-NMUs for upcoming transitions (like some packages do) Regards, Rene -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
