Package: nvidia-kernel-dkms
Version: 195.36.24-1
Severity: grave
Tags: sid squeeze
Justification: renders package unusable

I installed the nvidia-195.36.24 package using kernel 2.6.32-3 in squeeze.
Shortly after installing, dkms automatically built the module for that kernel.

Unfortunately, upon upgrading to kernel 2.6.32-5, xorg crashes with an error
saying that no nvidia kernel module is installed for that kernel.

Basically dkms is not really automatically building and installing the newer
module

Well, I got it to automatically rebuild the module.

Even though I had the 2.6.32-3 kernel headers installed, aptitude didn't
upgrade the headers to version 2.6.32-5. Once I installed the headers the
module was rebuilt successfully.
I'm closing the bug, but at the same time, I feel this should have been done
automatically
