I actually had build my workaround on the current git/HEAD of systemd-ui (commit bd1d89779b749587c1b3b0a73e2f25c468227ccb), but I compiled with valac 0.20 from testing. Now I updated to valac 0.22 from experimental and indeed, systemadm does not crash anymore without the workaround. After that I rebuild the current Debian package systemd-ui 2.2 and this also does not crash, when compiled with valac 0.22.

Thus systemd-ui should build-depend on valac >= 0.22.

Dear maintainers of Vala packages, could you please push valac 0.22 to unstable, or is there an important reason not to do so?
