Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: wishlist Dear ftp-masters,
Please remove bognor-regis.
Bognor-regis is basically a background daemon that plays music and
maintain a playlist. So on Mobile/Tablet/Desktop devices, they just need
to re-create the GUI and use dbus to call that daemon doing the play job.
However, this package comes from Moblin.
And Moblin becomes MeeGo and then die.
Thus it is not used anymore. Tizen or Mer doesn't use this package IIRC.
Also there's no GUI programs use bognor-regis now in Debian.
We have gstreamer1.0 transition (Bug: #785930) and I see no value to do
the transition for this package.
Please correct me if I'm wrong and I'll do the transit then.
