ok thanks. reproduced and found the problem. Seems that system.pc
which is used to find the tmpfiles dir in configure.ac is shipped by
systemd and non of the normal build deps pull that in.

This is a fix for a "certificate fingerprint spoofing through crafted
SASL messages" in Charybdis:

I backported the patch from 3.5 to 3.4, it seems to apply, but I haven't
tested it directly.
