Any further progress? Qt4 has now been droppped from testing, qt4 will be removed from unstable by end of February (along with the remaining rdeps (currently 15)). Cheers, Moritz

I've created a WIP merge request at https://salsa.debian.org/med-team/sofa-framework/merge_requests/1 I could solve TinyXML (at least in the aspect of finding it, I might need to adjust something else later on) but came across libgtest-dev... It ships static libraries! I would have to check how to use them within CMake, but I do wonder if it's not better to just keep the embedded version. After all it's only used for testing C++ classes, so build time... If we still decide to go with the packaged version then I wonder what extra field we should add in debian/control to express this (I think there was a field for that, but I can't remember that, Build-Using maybe?). Well, the first error I see is that the software seems to require cpsarse, but I don't seem to find it in the archive :-( Am I missing something?

Yes, there is a new upstream version since a long time and I tried several times to update it in Git[1]. However, its basically a new packaging of a large package with the need for excluding several code copies of libraries. I took over the maintenance from a former uploader which left the team but I need to admit my time resources and interest in this package are quite sparse. To have a chance to keep sofa-framework we need an expert in cmake who has some experience how to replace Debian packaged libraries. I'd happily add any volunteer to the Debian Med team to give full commit permissions. If nobody volunteers I do not see a realistic chance to keep that package. Kind regards, Andreas.
