Why both kudzu and discover? I believe they do the same thing.

One big fumble in 3.0 is that we didn't get things set up so the
automatic X setup can be easily done on new installs. That requires, I
understand, the discover, read-edid, and mdetect packages be installed
before X (xserver-xfree86?) is preconfigured. Thus a regular dependency
in some X thing
