Patch [0] supplied by Frank Fegert fixes this bug. Can we push partconf
1.41 with this fix in Wheezy r1? It will allow installation of Debian on
VIOS virtual drives in LPAR's of IBM Power
Just for the record: wheezy installs fine on Pegasos II machines,
without grub.

I've tested the proposed patch on a wide range of powerpc machines, it
works without issues. It will certainly remove confusion users face when
booting on 64-bit powerpc machines (see #614583). Thus reopening

Hello,
I would like to propose a slight change in the way PowerPC CD/DVD boots.
CD/DVD boot-script, which runs on PowerPC Mac machines, can detect
whether it runs on 32-bit or 64-bit processor, then offer boot options
accordingly.

because IBM OpenFirmware on IBM RS/6000 44P Model 170 and IBM SLOF
firmware on YDL PowerStation are not able to read files from isofs.
