The point release has now been moved slightly forward - we'll be aiming to start around 19:00 UTC this evening so the updated packages should start appearing on mirrors overnight (UTC). Hopefully we will be able to do the point release next Saturday, I hope Phil or some of our Release Assistants can confirm that soon. Apologies for the slight delay, but just to confirm that the point release is now scheduled for this coming Saturday, June 27th. We will clear stable NEW in the coming days and then declare the point release frozen. Please hurry up if you still need something to go into Lenny at that point. A regression was reported yesterday in the linux-2.6 package in proposed-updates. The bug is #533657. Let me know if you think this is worth a delay of the point release. We have a stable upload planned for immediately after 5.0.2, so if the release continues on schedule, we will be able to direct affected users to the p-u apt source for a fix. Yes, it's worth delaying the stable point release. Luk Claes wrote: we intend to do a Lenny Point Release on Saturday, June 20th. I'm leaving in the night of the 20th for two weeks to brazil; for debian-live, the point release needs to have hit at least one mirror in order to produce the updated images from. If the point release hits the mirror in the early morning of the 20th, i can still make it. otherwise, i'll try to do it the weekend afterwards through remote access, if possible, otherwise when i'm back home on 2009-07-06. -- Address:Daniel Baumann, Burgunderstrasse 3, CH-4562 Biberist Email: daniel.baum...@panthera-systems.net Internet: http://people.panthera-systems.net/~daniel-baumann/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-cd-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. 2009/6/5 Luk Claes l...@debian.org: Hi Forwarding this announcement as it might directly affect your team. Don't hesitate to forward it further if you think that can be useful. Cheers Luk Is it feasible to get httpfs into Debian still? I intended to look at it some time in the near future. AFAIK tehre are two unresolved problems - it lacks a man page - it can be stopped by typing ^Z on the console while d-l is booting (or at least you could in the past) Another issu is I am not a DD.
