-dependencies, the issue should be fixed in
the buildd software - it should know which libraries are available on
all architectures and build against them, or maybe stick to the first

- unstable = super_modern
So all the OMGTHISISCOOL kids install unstable and have a messed up system
because there is something broken in unstable? Thats probably the worst example
for a renaming ever.
Just an example.
Have fun!

(Debian Policy 3.5). So if you depend on a
properly install *and* configured lsb_release, either add a Pre-Depends *or*
chose a different way to ensure it is configured properly. And this is an easy
one actually as all you need to do is to run update-python-modules -p.

Well, that lsb_release is written in Python is just an implementation

Sometimes, a package requires another package to be installed and
configured before it can be installed. In this case, you must specify a
Pre-Depends entry for the package.

the policy just as they like (this issue is really
unbelievable,... wonder why we have all that policy crap...) in order to
save them work...
Full ack.
If the policy does not fit reality, then it should be changed *or* (which is
what I'd prefer), the package needs to be fixed.

/Sequence for examples. Obviously that is not a
quick fix and needs an xml-core upload.
The other way would be to override one of the dh_* calls, for example
override_dh_install:
dh_install
dh_installxmlcatalogs
There are other ways for sure :)
Cheers,

is a high traffic mailing list for you?
debian-bugs-dist is high traffic, or LKLM, or sometimes debian-devel, but not
backport-users.
