gmc doesn't work with the most up-to-date libraries. It was linked against
an older one no longer in the archive (btw the same holds for balsa). But
recompiling from source got me a binary that seg faults.

I was right in that lesstif causes my problems. After reverting to the hamm
version everything is fine again. So there either is a bug in lesstifg or an
incompatibility.

I just saw that nedit's layout changed. Between menu and text there is a hug
gray area that hasn't been there before. Since I also experienced missing

wouldlove to see that. My personal favorites would be a glyx, gtksql with
poistgresql and a spreadsheet, currently siag seems to be the best bet. But
that one's not with gtk either.

I just updated libc6 and locales to the latest packages and now my locale
de_DE does not work anymore. Perl tells me it's falling back to default.
Others like date just refuse to use it. What's wrong?
