Visit your Local Linux User Group or other Consultants
with your laptop.

Ask them to disable the automatic startup to the graphical part of
Linux, so you get a booting computer which doesn't need a re-install.

When logged in the computer get the PCI-ID of the Video card
and feed it to a search engine.
