When setting up a test installation of Debian Edu squeeze at end of April there definitely had to be done some fixes still, but none of them addressed /etc/hostname /etc/hosts For kerberized NFSv4 (on diskless workstations) you have to (a) tweak /etc/default/nfs-common and add the line RPCGSSDOPTS=-n (b) make sure that the diskless workstations is set up as a Kerberos client, including the [libdefaults] allow_weak_crypto = true line... The Screenshot button is not so confusing in the english version, but the norwegian translation Skjermbilde, should be changed into Lagre skjermbilde or Ta skjermbilde (save/make screenshot) to remove the doubt about what it is supposed to do. It is possible that the lvm contains an old version of debianedu, so this can probably happen on reinstall. redundancy in Debian Edu / Skolelinux bugtrackers
hi folks, the Debian Edu list is currently flooded with bugs from a/the Bugzilla bugtracker. Is there any plausible reason for running to separate bug tracking systems for the same project (Bugzilla / bugs.debian.org)??? My personal feeling is that we have an unnecessary redundancy with that and maybe also an overhead of infrastructure!?! How about the possibility of us all filing bugs on bugs.debian.org for the debian-edu-* packages? Personally, I feel that would reduce complexity for developers as well as for users... I guess this might be this issue: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=601363 but the change from warning to question might not be appropriate for debian-edu, as the user already has answered yes to loose all their disks content.
