NFS mount homedir problem (Was: [debian-edu-commits] [Debian Wiki] Update of DebianEdu/Status/Jessie by HolgerLevsen)

Hi Wolfgang, On Samstag, 6. Dezember 2014, Wolfgang Schweer wrote: == Changes from Wheezy to Jessie == + + FIXME: what shall we do with these? Document in the new features chapter of the manual? I think a general statement in the first steps chapter, that people should read the upgrade and new features in jessie chapters when upgrading is sensible. and then describe those squid3 + ssh changes in the upgrades chapter. does that sound sensible to you? cheers, Holger signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

It's hard to reproduce. Once it failed and autofs reload didn't work I stopped/started autofs and it succeeded. can you file a bug please, so we can start tracking information about the issue there? not sure against which package, whether nfs-kernel-server or debian-edu- config... or both? cheers, Holger signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Bug#772342: debian-edu-config: mounting homedirs via NFS doesn't work reliably
Package: debian-edu-config Version: 1.814 Severity: important NFS mount from tjener seems to work only ramdomly. This happens even after 'autofs reload' was added to dhclient exit hooks. Once I got it working with autofs stop/start instead of reload. Maybe there's another race condition causing this issue? Wolfgang signature.asc Description: Digital signature
