That's right, it is a fancy way to manage GitLab repositories. For example I use it to clone the repos of an organization/group (like debian-edu) all at once. Especially if you have a look at the features/options of gource. So, I don't mind repeating all the steps for a small change, but I am sure that this is not going to be the final version, and this round-trip process is not efficient (I produce and upload a video, you review it and ask for corrections).
