After installing bastille, I cannot login thorough squirrelmail. What is
the port I should open (I have open 25, 143, 110 plus others)to allow

Check for the imap server you configured in
Basically the login page hangs and is unable to connect and I was able to
login before the firewall setup. What is the proper (I should also say
the easiest)way to un-install what bastille did? Would an apt-get
--purge bastille be enough? I suppose there will be files that I will
have to undo

That sounds very much like the firewall prevents access to the IMAP
service. There should be some logs generated that explain that
somewhere.
