Upstream regressed on the option -gsplit-dwarf causing breakage on all
platforms.
Removing this option causes llvm-toolchain-* to break on 32 bit archs (OOM)
Please cherry-pick upstream revision r251399 into gcc packages so that this
option can be used

Hi,
It appears that gcc-7 no longer compiles in Thumb mode by default on
armhf.
My guess is that it was caused by this change which was intended to
remove all the java / gcj code:
