Package: glibc-doc

The HTML documentation for glibc is apparently AWOL.
There is no libc*.html in glibc-doc_2.1.2-12.deb,
neither in the one I built myself, nor in the one downloaded.
And there is a bogus file /usr/share/doc/glibc-doc/libc.info.gz
in glibc-doc that contains the g

I couldn't figure out how to properly respond to a bug report, so I'm
emailing the package maintainer address directly. This bug about
"/etc/init.d/devpts.sh: line 66: syntax error: unexpected end of file"
has a really simple fix. Change line 16 from "{" to "}". The function

apt-get does not know about this and tries to overwrite

I looked for a --force-overwrite option in the man page but didn't see one.

Whoops, I was wrong.
I just read the glibc 2.1.12 changelog and noticed that gconv-modules has
been merged back into locales.
I had removed the locales package from my machine because I kept having
problems downloading it and someone told me I didn't need it.
If you 'apt-get install locales' it
This bug bit me too. I think it's just that gconv-modules 2.1.12 needs to
be uploaded. It comes from the same source package as libc6. I'm building
myself a copy from source right now, and I'd be happy to send it to you
when it's done if you'd like.
If course, you'd be safer just building your own
