I tried to install and older version of libc6 from the snapshot repository but that didn't work. I kept getting the segfault. Here is what I did that finally worked: as root # /var/lib/dpkg/info/libc6-i686:i386.postinst configure # dpkg --configure libc6 # apt-get -f install # dpkg --configure
