Bug#996436: Hide ldconfig error which occurs when postinst is run by non-root
Package: libc-bin Version: 2.31-12 The post install script fails when trigger as a non-root user (such as when using dpkg to install a package to a different root from a non-root account). This seems to be because ldconfig --verbose returns an error because it needs root privileges to work, showing this error: /sbin/ldconfig: Can't create temporary cache file /etc/ld.so.cache~: Permission denied Appending ||: to the end of this command will occlude the error and allow the post install script to succeed.
