Dear Maintainers of libc6. First I have to apologize for my English writing. I will try not to write Denglisch, but my English lessons were 30 years ago, and I had not much training inbetween.
I'm a complete Newbie in this Area of administrating Debian/Linux-System and I'm asking for help solving this Problem for more people than me, not wanting to annoy you, as maintainers. But nevertheless here's my Problem I'm running Debian/SID and the libc6 (Version 2.29-8). I have a segfault trying to mount a nfsv4 Volume from my NAS: journalctl -xe from systemd says when I'm trying to mount the nfs4-Mount manually: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- The job identifier is 4431. Jan 10 04:47:14 workstation-mirulan-net kernel: mount.nfs[8595]: segfault at 0 ip 00007efd55889d35 sp 00007ffd13432158 error 4 in libc-2.29.so[7efd55756000+147000] Jan 10 04:47:14 workstation-mirulan-net kernel: Code: 48 83 e0 3f c5 f9 6f 25 d9 35 03 00 c5 f9 6f 2d 01 36 03 00 c5 f9 6f 35 e9 35 03 00 83 f9 30 77 64 83 f8 30 77 5f c5 fa 6f 0f <c5> fa 6f 16 c5 f1 64 fc c5 7> Jan 10 04:47:14 workstation-mirulan-net systemd[1]: media-MiruNAS-Medienwerkstatt.mount: Mount process exited, code=exited, status=255/EXCEPTION -- Subject: Unit process exited -- Defined-By: systemd -- Support: https://www.debian.org/support -- -- An n/a= process belonging to unit media-MiruNAS-Medienwerkstatt.mount has exited. -- -- The process' exit code is 'exited' and its exit status is 255. Jan 10 04:47:14 workstation-mirulan-net systemd[1]: media-MiruNAS-Medienwerkstatt.mount: Failed with result 'exit-code'. -- Subject: Unit failed -- Defined-By: systemd -- Support: https://www.debian.org/support -- -- The unit media-MiruNAS-Medienwerkstatt.mount has entered the 'failed' state with result 'exit-code'. So, I made a download of this package and tried to install it with dpkg -i libc6_2.30-0experimental1_amd64.deb The result is: -------------- dpkg: Betreffend libc6_2.30-0experimental1_amd64.deb, welches libc6:amd64 enthält: libc6:amd64 beschädigt locales (<< 2.30) locales (Version 2.29-8) ist vorhanden und installiert. dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten des Archivs libc6_2.30-0experimental1_amd64.deb (--install): Installation von libc6:amd64 würde locales beschädigen, und Dekonfiguration ist nicht erlaubt (--auto-deconfigure könnte helfen) Fehler traten auf beim Bearbeiten von: libc6_2.30-0experimental1_amd64.deb --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My other Problem with reportbug is, that there are questions I'm not able to answer seriously and I don't find a suitable Bug-report, that I could add my one. (Maybe is the mounting of USB-Harddisks also involved, because I had also Problems mounting a harddisk in my system, when I boot it.) What I have to install the experimental-package, to file a reasonable bugreport, without "destroying" my System, then my questions are: Have I to install libc6_2.30-0experimental1_amd64.deb with all it's dependencies, or is there another way around? Do you need the conf-files of my systemd-Mount? Do I need to produce a core-file and send it to you? Do you have an up-to-date Howto to do this? Or may you help me by E-Mail? Thanks you for your efforts in advance. Greetings Miriam Winterling
