Hello,

I just wanted to let you know that OpenRefine has entered testing a few days
ago. OpenRefine is a web application but it runs on your own computer to ensure
privacy when working with data. I have also backported all dependencies to
bullseye-backports and currently openrefine itself is the last package that has
to be accepted by the backports team. I assume this will happen shortly since
they are usually very responsive. 

I have created a new wiki page at 

https://wiki.debian.org/Java/OpenRefine

to give everyone a brief overview of the application. In total 24 new
dependencies were packaged and a couple of existing ones had to be updated. I
believe some dependencies will be of use for the science team as well. In
general OpenRefine enables users to manipulate large data sets in different
source formats, so the application field is not only limited to scientific data
and the app could also be used for wikidata, address books, customer databases
etc.
