Bug#763193: kde-base: KDE Memory leak still present in jessie
As kde4libs are not in Bullseye anymore and phased out completely, we have moved to the KDE Frameworks generation of technology. This defect is potentially not relevant anymore as a lot of the technology is different now. At least it needs a new reproduction and thus confirmation that is is still present on Bullseye or Unstable/ Testing. My suggestion is to close the report, because there would have been more information meanwhile if a similar defect has shown in the last 9 years. Leslie thanks again for reporting this problem, sorry that it could not fixed for kde4libs based technology. (Or, by chance are you still using the new stuff and experiencing still such problems?)
Bug#1034364: kde-baseapps depends on konqueror which is not security maintained
Package: kde-baseapps Version: 4:22.12.3+5.142 Severity: important Dear Maintainers, consider removing konqueror from the depencies of kde-baseapps. Rationale: kde-baseapps for version 5:111 (stable) and 5:142 (unstable) depends on konqueror but konqueror depends on libqt5webenginecore5 source package is qtwebengine-opensource-src which according to https://salsa.debian.org/debian/debian-security-support/-/blob/573b1a3f35208754bdf50a2af03f6c1b8c066a8b/security-support-limited is not security maintained: "qtwebengine-opensource-src No security support upstream and backports not feasible, only for use on trusted content" If this information is still correct, konqueror should not be recommended or depended on as user should by default get a system which is reasonable secure. Thanks Bernhard

KRunner works. Screen can be locked and unlocked again. Note, not all Qt related packages are at this version number. I looked at version number of libqt5gui5 and a sane output of apt full-upgrade to determine whether it would be safe to update with the current state of the mirror I use. Thank you. Best, -- Martin
Bug#1034338: kwin-wayland: Resizing Window leads to malformed decorations
Package: kwin-wayland Version: 4:5.27.2-1 Severity: important When resizing windows decorated by non-standard decorations in Plasma 5.27.2 Wayland, the window decorations such as window title and buttons are malformed and nigh unusable. This was reported here [1] and apparently got fixed with this commit [2], as mentioned in the bug report. This happens on a fresh install of the current bookworm installation without further adjustments and noticeably impacts the workflow when the window is not correctly displayed most of the time and moving/resizing windows with the mouse is not feasible due to this anymore. Cherry-picking that commit would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Jonas [1] https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=465790 [2] https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/commit/715f4147fec2734a0ed56f7ae799e678e18f451f
Bug#1033995: qtbase-opensource-src: Fix accessibility of qt5 applications run as root

Thanks dearly for the timely fix! > Thanks for your patience, we are dealing with a a11y (accessibility) > issue when Qt applications are being run as root. Yeah, I noticed the repeated uploads of Qt. Seems this has been quite challenging to get right! Thank you all from the Debian/Kubuntu Qt/KDE team! I appreciate your work! Best, -- Martin

After reading more details on debian-qt-kde IRC I understand that the qtbase5 issue only affects sid, 5.15.8+dfsg-3 in bookworm is not affected. That means the digikam issue is unrelated. I opened a bug report https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1034310 Since it is not proven for me that it is the same issue and it helps to warn others who are using apt-listbugs.
