Thanks for notice. As there are no important updates for me in todays queue, I think I just delay my next apt dist-upgrade by a day or so… instead of taking care of pinning. Thanks, -- Martin

It is fixed, but not in repos yet. It's now available, at least on my mirror. I got it and did another upgrade on another system, gdisk was orphaned after the dist-upgrade, so I removed it, more to see what would happen and only part of the desktop would work, so I apt install gdisk and reboot, gdisk was no longer orphaned and desktop came up complete. So even if we don't do text mode partitioning gdisk is still needed to complete the system. -- Jimmy Johnson Debian Sid/Testing - KDE Plasma 5.8.7 - AMD A8-7600 - EXT4 at sda1 Registered Linux User #380263

Re: Warning! Current udisks2 in Sid is broken [SOLVED]
When I tried to update this morning, I was prevented from updating udisks2 by apt-listbugs. So, I can confirm that the bug severity successfully prevented me from breaking my system. 2017-08-30 9:20 GMT+02:00 Martin Steigerwald: > Martin Steigerwald - 30.08.17, 09:12: > > Martin Steigerwald - 30.08.17, 09:07: > > > Put the package on hold. > > > > Before upgrading or downgrade to testing version. > > > > Alternatively use > > > > apt install libblockdev-fs2 libblockdev-part2 libblockdev-mdraid2 > > libblockdev- crypto2 libblockdev-loop2 libblockdev-swap2 > > systemctl restart udisks2 > > You may also need gdisk package: > > https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=873634#26 > > > Bug is severity grave now, so I think it should show up in apt-listchanges. > Don´t know why it didn´t for me. > > Its no Plasma specific issue. Sorry, I meant apt-listbugs, and it didn´t show me the issue, I have both installed. So maybe it was a "race condition" that is was not yet set to grave as I upgraded. Thanks, -- Martin
