Buster: Dolphin updated to be able to run as root?

Hi, I read that there were plans to make Dolphin great again and to allow it to be able to run as root as it did before for many years. Has it actually happened in testing? I tried to run it as root again but for me Dolphin just shutdown immediately with no messages or errors. Thanks #
