how is building custom xen kernels supposed to work? I see the xen
patches in /usr/src/kernel-patches/all/2.6.16/debian but no matter
what I do they don't get applied.
Shouldn't the following work?
make-kpkg --append-to-version -frosties --revision=2.6.16-1 --subarch=xen
--config oldconfig

I cannot get my system to come up with the 2.6.17 kernel. It starts
fine, but is unable to find drive hde,hdf,hdg, and hdh. These are all
drives connected to a second IDE controller, a Promise "PDC20268
(Ultra100 TX2)".

Anyway I have found the cause of it. It is hald with dbus which automounts the
usb stick:
/dev/sdb1 on /media/usb0 type vfat

I have a severe problem running this kernel in that it brings my
computer to a crawl, compared to the 2.6.16-1-686-smp kernel I was
running before, and am running again until this problem is fixed. The
