Hi,
our original plan has been to release the d-i RC on 14th August, and
freeze the kernel for this on July 30th. Is this plan still current? If
so, can we expect an acceptable kernel on these days? The plan also
included a small window around October 15th to allow an ABI bump / a new

Could please someone from the kernel team who is coorporative handle

Here is a patch that adds a new configuration variable PANIC_SHELL
that, when set to no (not the default), disables the fallback to a

Hello,
As probably all of you know, we need to fix two local root
vulnerabilities in the linux-2.6 package. All changes have been
committed, so we are basically done with preparations. I suggest we
upload tomorrow, after the snapshots have been built and everyone had a
chance to check their arch.
