Dear all,
this is the further infomation for my previous problem. This time I
did'nt patch suspend2, and complied the kernel with my previous
config file. When booting up, it still stop somewhere, most of time,
it stop at
waiting for /dev to be fully populated.
Since this time I did'nt take
Booting without the noapic parameter works. I'll be happy to send you logs or
anything that will help - just tell me where they are :).
Should I further test anything about this noapic issue besides the daily
installer images?

Actually, I'm a little confused too. I've just tried booting the system
without the noapic parameter and it worked. I've also tried booting the
current etch installer, with which I've installed my system, without the apic
parameter and it worked, also. Knoppix 5.1.1 Also boots successfully.

Probably not. I added a fix to rules.real and now module.lds is included
in linux-headers-2.6.21-2:
/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.21-2/arch/m68k/kernel/module.lds
but linux-modules-extra looks for this file
