My wireless network is no longer detected with 2.6.29 whereas it used to work

The network is a WPA 1 TKIP.
I noticed that neither lib80211_crypt_ccmp nor lib80211_crypt_tkip are
loaded... which may indicate some

Thanks to some earlier advice here, I'm running
linux-image-2.6.29-trunk-amd64; I kept crashing with earlier kernels.
I tried to build the kvm modules but ran into errors (using
module-assistant). It couldn't find some header files. These files
seem to be in the -common package but not -amd64:
First, I updated to 2.6.26-2-686 (from Lenny), but this has the same
problem for me. No command I know will set that NIC to full duplex

I tried building a custom 2.6.29.1 kernel next, but it panics when
it can't mount /dev/md0 as the root file system. I'm not in the mood

Hi,
On my x40, audio is now broken with 2.6.29-1-686. I believe that this is a
Debian-specific regression, as a stock Linus kernel (tag v2.6.29) doesn't
have this problem. Some apps (ie, ones using gstreamer) simply refuse to run;
