I notice that 2.6.26-20 is now available in the Debian FTP archive,
but can't find a Xen amd64 image there (although there is a Xen 686
image).
Is this an omission, coming soon or can I just not find it? As far
as I can tell, #542250 affects amd64 as well as i386/i686.
Thanks,
Marc

Hi Ben,
this issue was almost a year ago but I can remember it as it was quiet
annoying.
It turned out that I had to use module 'ahci' instead of 'pata_marvell', I
found the hint in the kernel config. However in the previous kernels (before
2.6.26-12 pata_marvell had worked alright).

I don't know why, but I needed the link.

there is no need to make a symbolic link.

It seems that the update switched the /dev/sda and /dev/sdb which explains
the freeze during the boot sequence.
I switched the usb plugs and everything is now back to normal.
