There is a similar bug at bugzilla:
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14709
Maybe those times that my machine hangs is due to r8169 too,
but I'm not able to get any log when this happens.
Regards,
Victor.

Please backport this change, it is required by some laptops (e.g. Dell

Hi,
with 2.6.32, it's not possible to export nfs directories.
I think you have missed some config option somewhere.
I'm very sorry for the bad bug report, I'm in a hurry right now,
if it's insufficient I'll do something better next week.

It seems RTL8168D version 1 (but not version 2) was previously supported
without the need for this firmware update (rtl8168d-1.fw). So perhaps
the driver should carry on without it if it is missing. Please try
applying the following patch, which implements that behaviour.
Ben.

Ben, your patch works for me. Will this be made part of the Debian
2.6.32 kernel, or were you merely experimenting? (It would really help
if the KT used this, unless/until the r8169 firmware can be used in
Debian.)
I don't seem to
