Greetings.
More data. I have managed to get an initramfs debug out of the system
and have also provided a debug from a 2.6.26-1-686 kernel which boots
OK. I'm damned if I can see any reason from the debug for the recent
kernel (2.6.26-2-686) to fail to boot!

Hello.
Sorry if I send this to the wrong place, but I started commenting on
another bug (#534422), now I no longer think it is appropiate there and I
don't know if it belongs here, but it's late, I'm half asleep and yesterday
I already felt asleep before finding the right place to post.

Plymouth is an application that runs very early in the boot process (even
before the root filesystem is mounted!) that provides a graphical boot
animation while the boot process happens in the background.
Plymouth isn't really designed

This bug was confirmed on the kernel bug tracker.
See this post for explanation :
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15238 .
In fact, this is not an oops but the problem is the kerneloops system
confuses WARNING to WARN() and raise a "wrong" OOPs window.

On pre-i965 Intel systems there's a very noticeable error message from
the kernel if KMS is enabled.
This was recently fixed upstream:

As this seems to be a kernel issue, it's probably obvious, but I just wanted to
point out, that rsyslog is affected by this bug too.
See also http://kb.monitorware.com/kernel-logging-t10213.html
which confirms this bug for rsyslog.
Cheers,
Michael

With the old kernels, e.g. linux-image-2.6.26-2-powerpc 2.6.26-21
