Hi there, I am the developer of Areca Raid controller device driver, arcmsr. I have reviewed the source code of after patched this backport to arcmsr for Debian Jessie. I also have test the binary code of patched arcmsr driver. It works very well for all Areca Raid controllers. This patch is awesome. Thanks for Salvatore's effort.
