Try edit /etc/yaird/Config.cfg to include the modules needed, and

/etc/fstab shows what is intended to be mounted.
So switching to using a different rootfs for the next mount would not
be possible if relying on what's mounted now.

Yaird upstream (Erik) is listening here as well - I'll let him decide
if fbcon should perhaps be loaded by default...
Thanks alot for testing!

(2.6.13), so I suspect a link.
Isn't it simply the change of ramdisk tools? fbcon was always included
with initrd-tools but not by either of the newer tools.
If so, the bug is with both of the newer ramdisk tools, not the kernel.

They are optional only? And upstream knew about it?

Is this in a text console, or within X11?
If text console, then this might perhaps be related to other

I suspect this is the case.
Could you try adding 0 0 to the end of that line and do a
dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.14-1-686, to see if that helps?

is usually the case with lessdisks, by default only the driver for the

Attached is my current approach to running lessdisks with yaird.

that mkinitrd version loads
but yaird doesn't.
Try editing /etc/yaird/Default.cfg and add the following:

Then regenerate ramdisk and reboot (but sounds like I don't need to
spell things out to you...), and tell us how that went.

perhaps it would make sense to ignore UUID and
instead only use device names.
What I believe will work (I haven't tried myself) is to
edit /etc/yaird/Templates.cfg and at TEMPLATE mdadm remove the third
line of the script (remember to also remove the trailing \ in the
line above).

/perl/Parser.pm and include @ in the two lines
starting with identifier (approx. lines 170 and 400). They now look

and I want you to try changing them to this:
