After upgrade from 2.6.18-3 to 2.6.18-4 grub select this new kernel for boot,
even if previously default was set to a non-linux partition.

no, i just tested the most common options:
DMA, that was the most annoying bug is now fixed,
but cpufreqd is not yet workinking ... and neither powernowd-k8 (this let
me suppose that i recompiled something in an optimized mode ...)
