recently, ever time i get back to the computer which is in screensaver mode

just got this error trying to get some temperature reading from ACPI (i guess)
with the kde 4.2 plasmoid - system info. thou, it seems to report the
temperature correctly.

i have these lockup issues while using kde 4.2 on
Debian Sid + 2.6.26 AMD64 + nvidia 180.22
Processor 2x Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P7350 @ 2.00GHz
some times i get a message
for the type of machine i had.
i recommend we close it and see if some needs to re-open it again ?

to the new 2.6.24 b43
just upgraded to linux-image-2.6.24-1-686 and it worked fine :-)
i had to down grade the firmware for it to work
since i have misunderstood the instructions that where posted there three
weeks ago (on b43 site : http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43 )

after updating from kernel version 2.6.21 2.6.22, bcm43xx is unable to
connect to my home wireless network on boot. after the os loads into KDE i
use Wireless
i've tried to load the video (acpi) module and set the brightness manually (as
suggested by http://lists.debian.org/debian-laptop/2005/11/msg00161.html )
but with no success. the /proc/acpi/video/ folder is empty.
any ideas ?
