Hi Jonathan, Thanks for your reply. I just tried to boot the original squeeze kernel (2.6.32) in recovery mode (kernel commandline argument single). Single mode makes no difference, it hangs with 6 vcpus at the same place. Here is a screenshot where it hangs:
