as you noticed enable_mtrr_cleanup is gone, this was an upstream decision.
please what is not working properly in 2.6.32 squeeze that would have
previously under 2.6.28?

Passing the kernel option enable_mtrr_cleanup does not clean the mtrr table
up as it did in earlier versions. 2.6.29-1 may have done, the 2.6.28 images
definitely did quite happily.
