Dear Maintainer,
Many thanks for the job you all been doing! Great work!
I can confirm same behavior on nvidia MCP61, and linux-image-3.9-0.bpo.1-amd64
3.9.6-1~bpo70+1
I must add rootdelay=5 (I don't try less) to boot.
on AMD chipset 970 + SB950 with 3.9.x it is OK, rootdelay not needed.
I was hit by this bug upgrading the kernel image to anyone higher than 3.7.
I tried with both 3.8 and 3.9 linux kernel images but it drops into a shell
before rootfs gets mounted. I got by this bug adding 'rootdelay=1' option
into grub cmdline also.
In a subshell I run ./scripts/local-top/mdadm

I am writing because I've just upgraded initramfs-tools to 0.113 (jessie) and
it regenerated /boot/initrd.img-3.9-1-amd64 but the boot process got stuck in

Hi,
Today I updated my system, and got update of the kernel, to 3.9 version(did it
with dist-upgrade). On booting with new version, I got some error messages,
like:
