* What led up to the situation? When I upgraded to testing, with kernel at 3.10.3, I found that the display backlight keyboard shortcuts do not work, (they do on things like Fedora and Kubuntu with newer kernels), so it may be a configuration option mising. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Using 3.2 kernel from Wheezy, keyboard shortcuts work. * What was the outcome of this action? See previous * What outcome did you expect instead? Keyboard buttons need to work. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.11-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages linux-image-amd64 depends on: ii linux-image-3.11-2-amd64 3.11.8-1 linux-image-amd64 recommends no packages. linux-image-amd64 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
