I have got a Dell Poweredge 2850 Rackserver with two 3.0 GHZ Xeon CPUs and 10
GB of RAM running Debian Sarge and kernel 2.4.27 (SMP). The system recognizes
only 4 GB of RAM and I want to upgrade to Debian 4.0 (etch) and kernel
2.6.18. I need a kernel that recognizes both CPUs (SMP) and

bigmem flavour should work fine for what you need :-)

this box should support a 64bit kernel, check /proc/cpuinfo for the lm flag.
