After the presentation of Ben about the new features of Linux, I have
looked a bit at how the live patching could be used. I am just
presenting what I have discovered, it is likely that I drop the ball
just here.
I have tried kpatch only.
1. We need to enable both CONFIG_KALLSYMS_ALL and
linux-tools_4.2~rc7-1~exp1_multi.changes uploaded successfully to localhost
along with the files:
linux-tools_4.2~rc7-1~exp1.dsc
linux-tools_4.2~rc7.orig.tar.xz
linux-tools_4.2~rc7-1~exp1.debian.tar.xz
hyperv-daemons_4.2~rc7-1~exp1_i386.deb
liblockdep-dev_4.2~rc7-1~exp1_i386.deb

When switching into the real root partition using switch_root/run-init
we do not specifically direct the error output, as a result it may not
end up visible to the user. Send it with the primary output to the

attached patch for this in Ubuntu.

Hi all,
do you see a way to get the tools/hv daemons into the 3.16 kernel for
jessie in a point release?
There are a lot of jessie machines running inside HyperV which will need
it as soon as the new backup method of HyperV servers is used.
